Subject: Happy Birthday!
Hi Dr. Redd !
You are so awesome !!!!! I was thinking about calling you yesterday and giving you my daughter's cell phone number because she LOVES to get txt messages. Then I thought to myself... "S________, you are going WAY over the top trying to appease your daughter..." I guess I should have called you. I have to tell you, that I think you are truly a blessing to know. More than our family dentist, John. You are a blessing from God to all of those you serve.
Thank you!

Please feel free to use my comments below:
Being in my fifties, I have to say that I have had many many experiences
with many different dentists in numerous states and numerous countries. When
I was in the third grade, I broke my front two teeth. Root canals,
infections and re-crownings have been an ongoing saga in my life. The
dreaded dentist visits continued as I lived in Europe and spent summers in
the States, obtaining dental care in both places. I therefore am making the
following comments based on a plethora of experiences. The service that I
received at Dr. Redd's office was incredible! It was professional, friendly
and made me feel that I was valued. I was educated on how to care for my
teeth, rather than lectured that my dental care was bad or wrong. All
aspects of my treatments were explained to me. The level of technology that
is used at the office is very high, and not only there for show. My comfort
was always attended to and my scheduled was accommodated. It was obvious
that the team consulted on my case and each new what needed to be done. My
limited time was not wasted. I never thought that I would be writing a
testimonial about a dental clinic, but all of the staff, and of course Dr
Redd as the person in charge, deserve accolades for the exceptional level of
service they provide.

Dear Dr. Redd,
I'd like to take a moment to say thank you to you and
everyone at The Spring of Tampa Bay for everything they have done to help me
get back my life. In October 2008 I came to The Spring scared, confused,
lost, and a beaten-down shell of a woman. Not only had I gone through years
of verbal abuse I also have been denied medical and dental care at the hands
of my abuser. In 1999 I developed periodontal disease which over time ate a
way almost all of my teeth until they were rotten and/or in pieces causing
me constant pain and discomfort for years. I was too embarrassed to work,
attend school functions with my three kids or even order food or
restaurants. I never wanted to smile or just hold a conversation with the
person. But now, thanks to The Spring and Drs. Redd and Peters, I feel like
I have been saved from a black hole that I had been drowning in for years. I
have such a wonderful smile now, I can't keep from smiling. I'm no longer
embarrassed. To me The Spring and the doctors they contacted for my work
with (Dr. Redd and Dr. Peters) have been one of the greatest blessings in my
life. Thanks for counseling and understanding and support that has given me
the confidence to do what I have to or need to in order to have a
successful, safe life.
I will never be able to pay them back for all they have
given me in all the help they have provided me with. The Spring has really
helped me see that there is a life after abuse and are not a piece of crap
is my abuser often said I was.
Thank you again and may God wish you and everyone you
help.
Forever smiling because of you,
Charlotte H.

Dear Dr. Redd and Staff,
I want to thank you all for the utmost in quality care and professionalism.
Your office is always friendly and I am always made to feel welcome.
My restoration is complete and I am now enjoying the peace of mind that
comes from knowing that my mouth is in its best possible condition. I am
glad that we agreed on the plan to replace all of my silver fillings. Dr.
Redd, thank you for your patience in assessing and then prioritizing the
work to be done; one tooth at a time. Because of your long range plan for my
mouth, the task was completed with minimal discomfort and minimal financial
burden.
Nancy, thanks for all your patience and for the special attention you give
me as part of my continuing care program. You are excellent at what you do.
I am happy to recommend friends and family to your office.
Sincerely,

Lorraine Kelly

Dear Dr. Redd:
I just wanted to thank you so much for my new smile! I can not tell you how
much I appreciate your patience and expertise when it came to working on my
teeth. I can honesty say that the work you have done has changed my life!
During a very traumatic experience 13 years ago, my two front teeth were
broken off. Since that time, I had many, many dentist try to fix them so
that they looked 100% natural. Needless to say, after 13 years and many
painful and unsuccessful dental visits, I totally thought fixing my two
front teeth just couldn’t be done. Then I finally found you and your office!
The time, expertise, patience and persistence that you and your staff gave
to me has been an absolute “God Send.” You and your team never gave up on
creating the perfect smile for me!
In the past, every time that I opened my mouth to smile, I had to think
about that very awful, traumatic experience 13 years ago. Now, every time
that I opened my mouth to smile, I see nothing but beautiful, white teeth! I
no longer have to relive that awful time in my life. By truly fixing my two
front teeth, you have not only changed my smile but you have also changed my
life.
You are not only the best dentist that I have ever been to but you are also
a true artist in my mind. A very talented Dental Artist! I just can’t thank
you enough! Thank you and your staff from the bottom of my heart!
Sincerely,
Claire H.

Dear Dr Redd and Dr Wilson and Staff and
Florida Donated Dental Services;
I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate everything you have done for
me. You have all done so much . I have said this before, and I will say it
again. You have given me my smile back. For years I didn't smile, I was
embarrassed to even talk to people at times because my teeth were so bad.
You have essentially given me my life back again. I'm sure some people won't
understand this. Maybe they think it isn't a big deal to have missing teeth.
But, until they have went thru it, they won't understand. With everything
I've been thru in the last 7 years I never thought I'd be happy again. But,
with all your help...I'm a different person. I'm proud to smile!! Thank you,
from the bottom of my heart and soul. I was truly blessed when you all
walked into my life. I know it's not over. I know I will have to keep up on
keeping my smile the way it is. But, you have extended a hand and given me a
HUGE place to start. I have a new laugh, a new smile and new sense of self
that you have all given me. Words just can't say just how I feel. It's an
emotion of sorts. It's a feeling of freedom. And, it's because of all of you
that I feel this way!!! I don't think that people appreciate dentistry. Not
until they have gone thru the amazing change that I have been thru. I'm
hoping people will read this and realize that Dentist can save lives. You
have all saved mine. You have given me a new chance at life. My self esteem
is back and if you don't have that it's hard to live a happy, healthy life
because you hide from it. You tend to shy away from the public. Not me, Not
anymore. I embrace meeting new people and talking to people. I enjoy going
out now and not worrying about what they see when I open my mouth. Thank
you, Thank you Thank you!!!. I wish I could express in detail how I feel, I
tried the best I could. I hope you all understand what you have done for me.
I will never forget!!
Thank you
Sincerely,
Kathryn M. U.

I moved to Florida in 1994. I found a dentist but really didn’t know
if he was a good dentist until I began to have problems. I had two
very bad abscesses that led to two root canals, many visits to an oral
surgeon, bone replacement, an implant and caps. My saga is as follows:
I called my original dentist on a Monday because I was having pain in two of my back teeth. The dentist only had “emergency” time available for me on a
Thursday. That was three (3) days after I made the original call and I was in pain for three days before he sent me to an oral surgeon. I thought his
behavior was unconscionable and needless to say I was furious and told my oral surgeon I would not go back to him for the rest of the work needed.
The only thing he did do for me was to recommend me to Dr. Kobernick who happens to be a very good oral surgeon.
As we all know, whether it’s a doctor or lawyer, they will not berate each other. So, it became a quest of mine to find a dentist that I could trust. I asked
everyone I knew about their experiences with their dentist. Some of my friends liked their dentists; some hated them but said they did good work;
and some said they were OK but please let me know if you find one that you really like. I felt like I was getting no where.
Then one day as I was
watching the news, Gayle Guyardo was really enthusiastic about this Dr. Redd and his new “ZOOM” whitening for teeth. I like Gayle so I sent her an
e-mail asking for his website, TampaSmiles.com. I made an appointment to get my teeth whitened, figuring that can’t hurt too much. So, I had my
teeth whitened and I was very impressed with the way Dr. Redd spoke to me as a new patient, explained everything to me at that first meeting and listened
as I explained about my experience and the fact that I needed to have my implant taken care of and some restorative work. Not only was he a good
listener, he explained everything in detail about what we could do and how we would go about having a healthy mouth and obtaining my goals. My primary
goal was to preserve my teeth for however long God wants to keep me on earth. I do NOT want to ever have false teeth.
As a result, I have been a patient of Dr. Redd for more than 2 years now and I have finally reached the point where we are maintaining my teeth and heading
off any problems that might occur. I am and have been very pleased with Dr. Redd. I would recommend him to anyone. I can honestly say that he has
never hurt me and I am not afraid of the dentist any more. It pays to watch the news! I found Dr. Redd through Gayle Guyardo of NBC News.
Love and Kisses to Dr. Redd from Karen Norr

I walked out of
that office on Thursday without that feeling of “Dental Doom”. The
anxiety was gone after a long time. We addressed issues and made a
plan. For the first time in years, I felt I was in control. What’s
that worth?
I
feel that I have a long road ahead of me, but that’s okay, I’m
pretty sure I found an excellent co-pilot.

I wanted to take a moment to tell you how wonderful you have treated me.
Both you and your staff have been so kind. This was a once in a lifetime
chance for me. It was a honest to god dream come true. I can't tell you what
it means to me to have my smile back. It's a great feeling to smile and not
feel embarrassed because I have no teeth. I lost my smile 8 years ago, but
you brought it back. I just can't seem to thank you enough. I always felt
welcomed and important when I walked into your office. Everyone made me feel
so good, even when I was having really bad days. I've struggled for many
years with manic depression and being overweight and toothless didn't help
me much. But, with the help of your wonderful staff and yourself and Dr.
Wilson and all the other doctors that have seen me thru this process you
have filled one piece of me that I never thought I could have back, My
SMILE!!! Thank you so very much. I have much more to say, but I just wanted
to let you know what everyone has done for me. Thank you.

Re: Dr. John Redd
I have been a very happy patent of Dr. John Redd’s for about 8 years now. Before being referred to his office, I was very afraid of the dentist, because every dentist I ever went to hurt me in some way! None of them seemed to really care about me at all. This fear caused me to neglect my oral care for years. A friend referred me to his office, and after getting over my initial anxiety, I realized that I had stumbled upon something very rare and special: I had finally found a dentist that I could trust. Dr. Redd never treats his patents like “a number” – when you are in his office, he makes you feel like you are his “only” patent. After much work in my mouth (countless cavities, root canals, crowns & cleanings) I can honestly say that Dr. Redd is the gentlest dentist there is. He has never ‘hurt’ me, not even a little. Dr. Redd’s Commitment to Excellence does not stop with just doing a great job in the mouths of his patents: He has obviously inspired his entire office team to employ a “whatever-it-takes” philosophy in order to provide the very best, Top Notch service to every patent from the moment they step into his office. I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Redd. They say that the greatest ‘compliment’ any professional can get is when people send referrals their way. In the years since I started as one of Dr. Redd’s patients, I have referred many (over 20!) friends and co-workers to his office. I love it when they come back to me to ‘thank’ me for sending them to him! In short, if you want to go to a dentist that is totally committed to YOU, and YOUR dental health, then there is no other choice but to go to “Florida’s Best Dentist,” Dr. John Redd!
Thanks for everything, Dr. Redd!
Sincerely,
Jeff Wahl

Your professionalism and enthusiasm for what you do is second-to-none. The treatment and hospitality that I receive from you and your staff makes me confident that I'm getting the best possible care!
Your constant lookout for state-of-the-art technology and implementation of the latest care techniques proves your desire to maintain your leadership..... Something new each visit also keeps me entertained!
Thanks for keeping me on track with the "Life Time Strategy" you set for me during my first visit. My family looks to you for preventive continuing care and I'd highly recommend you and your team!
Subject: Thank You!
Dr Redd,
The references are our way of thanking you for your service and "bed side" manner. Rarely do you find someone now-a-days that knows how important the little touches are from knowing our favorite sports teams to the personal follow up calls after your services. This is a quality that has been lost by most. Mort and I both grew up in small towns where this was more of the norm than the exception.
It is a great feeling to have found someone that actually cares about his patients. I do not want to forget your staff either. You have assembled an exceptional team that works well together and shares the same vision. Some of our referrals had said they did not go to the dentist for years because they hated it. You and your staff have made this a much more comfortable experience for them.
Thank you for all that you and your team does!

Subject: Greetings from Bethesda!
Dear Dr. Redd - I hope this finds you and your family doing well. I'm sure baby Amelia is really growing and that you all are enjoying her. I just know big brother Harrison loves his baby sis and is a big help with entertaining her!
Just thought I'd let you know that things are going well for us here in DC/Bethesda! Allen is very busy in his job, and I am doing "OK" living here --- it's NOT TAMPA (grin!) -- but we are having the opportunity to do lots of "nice" things, so we're going to enjoy our time here.
I have been to a dentist here, and just wanted to let you know that she was "wowed" by my beautiful teeth!! She (and her staff - plus another dentist in her office) commented on the excellent work you did! I was pleased to get so many wonderful compliments! By the way, I showed the dentist the treatment plan you gave to me, and she was very impressed with your thoroughness. I'm very, very pleased with the work you did!
We were in Tampa in August (for Wendy's wedding), but I was unable to get in to see you since you are closed on Fridays. I'll call, and hopefully stop by, when we are in town again. I would enjoy seeing you and your staff again.
Best wishes - Linda Pittman

Dear Dr. Redd:
I’m not quite sure where to begin this letter, but, let’s start with a great big THANK YOU and go from there! When I first came into your office last fall I knew immediately that I had found a professional that would look out for my best interests. I had neglected my dental health for many years and knew it was time to do something about that. I saw the Channel 8 article on teeth whitening and I wanted to try out your procedure. In my heart of hearts I knew that would be just the beginning as I needed extensive dental work and that was okay with me. I knew instinctively that you would take care of me. You were professional, diligent, caring and had a great sense of detail (in other words you were very anal retentive and that was a good thing!!)
For more years than I can remember, I had always wanted to have better dental health and equally important I wanted have better looking and whiter teeth. In every area you far exceeded my expectations and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I simply put my trust in you and your staff and never looked back or regretted my decision.
Previously I had never paid attention to the fact that upon meeting a person for the first time they would always look towards my eyes only and return the greeting. Never did anyone look at my teeth or smile at the same time they were saying hello to me. Well not any longer my friend! Upon meeting someone for the first time they now look at my teeth and smile as well. I love to be looking at someone’s eyes and see their eyes dart down to my teeth as I am talking to them! What a great feeling and I have you to thank for that .I’m now just waiting for the time when a stranger actually says to me how great my teeth look - -I’ll be on cloud nine!
The work that you have orchestrated has increased my self esteem and I simply want to smile and keep on smiling. The “before” and “after” pictures of my teeth are truly remarkable. I’m thinking about framing the pictures and putting them on my wall as a reminder of you great you have made me look. I’d love to be your next poster child and you may use my pictures aw you see fit.
My business organization, Wachovia Insurance Services, includes in their Core Values the following” Respect and Value the Individual; Winning; Service. Those same values could equally apply to your staff as well. My appointments were always on time and your staff respected my personal schedule as that I could plan the remainder of my business day accordingly. Everyone – Dottie, Annie, Vanessa, Jennifer – all were excited for me and looked forward with me to the day when my “winning” smile was completed. Your service is second to none and shows in the preparation and attention given to every aspect of your craft.
Many, many thanks to all of you. I’ll miss not visiting “John’s room” on a regular basis. But know that I will refer lots of other people to occupy that room until I see all you again in the fall for my next checkup! Keep up the GREAT work – you are admired and appreciated for your talents.

Dear Dr. Redd:
Without you, Dr. Redd, I would have probably gone through the rest of my life, aware everyday, of the sad presentation my mouth provided. I know that I deliberately avoided ‘big’ smiles in order to minimize the presentation of my aging, crooked and missing teeth.
Let me briefly share a couple of dental experiences. When I was 14 years of age, while playing basketball, the ball hit the bottom of my jaw causing a mouth closure that chipped one of my lower front teeth. I was spending the night with a friend. Fear of repercussion or not knowing how to deal with the issue left me with a very, very painful mouth. The nerve in the tooth had evidently been affected and it took a long time before the pain went away.
At age 16, I decided to take money earned from my paper route to have an upper front tooth cavity taken care of. I made a dental appointment, went to the dentist and had the tooth filled. Two weeks later, the filling came out. In disgust, I chose to mutter about dentists.
As I went through life, I continued without dental care. My children received proper care and treatment. Both were fitted with braces at the ‘appropriate’ age. Their mother was more influential in that regard than I. I simply paid the bills. About 15 years ago, I began a process of checking and filling teeth as needed. I also had a deep cleaning done and felt as though I was doing a good thing for my mouth. What largely prompted me to go the dentist was a tooth that grew infected and became more painful than I was willing to endure. I was advised to either have the tooth pulled or follow through with a root canal process. For some reason, I chose the root canal process and experienced one of the most painful procedures imaginable. Once through that, I had a temporary crown placed. However, I didn’t follow through with the permanent crown procedure. Eventually, the crown withered away, the tooth fell apart and I had it pulled.
In another instance, a few years back, I decided, again, to have dental ‘work’ done. The prior dentist was no longer in business. I simply found a local dentist, made an appointment. On the appointed date, I went to the office and was ushered to a chair. The assistant took a few x-rays and I simply waited for the dentist’s arrival. When he came into the room, he said, “We need to pull them all or send you to a Periondist.” I responded that no one was pulling teeth out of my head. He then instructed the assistant to take a full series of x-rays. (I didn’t think quickly enough to ask why the x-rays would been needed if I wasn’t having my teeth pulled) We then scheduled a deep cleaning. I had the cleaning done and promised myself I would never see his office again.
As time progressed, one of the front lower teeth began working its way out. Occasionally, I thought about getting dental help. For the large part, I simply lived with the pain until the tooth finally emerged completely and I pulled it myself. Fortunately, my mouth is such that my lower teeth are not highly visible. I learned not to smile and watched as my upper teeth also began to emerge and become quite displaced.
Without your suggestions and guidance, I would have eventually found someone that would have pulled all my teeth and left me with dentures. Considering the denture alternative was an undesirable eventuality I simply ignored the issue as long as possible. The thought of dentures was not and still is not a desirable thought. I remember my mother having all teeth pulled before age forty and then spending the rest of her life filling the dentures to relieve discomfort.
I must tell you the experience in your office has to be without parallel. You are knowledgeable of your craft and profession. You excel in maintaining your expertise. Your desire to treat people as people is exceptional. Your professionalism and business acumen continue to grow. Never have I know a businessman so focused and driven to strive to do a better job and build a better business everyday of their life. Plus, you seem to have a lot of fun in the process. I admire your fervor for life.
I can tell anyone reading this letter that I have extensive knowledge of Dr. Redd’s business and professional life as I have been selected as the person to provide extensive IT services for over 5 years. We have worked hand in hand to help you provide the most modern facility and up-to-date computer processing capabilities. I am told that your office is as progressive with computer technology as any in the area. I take pride in having been party to the technology involvement. I take pride in displaying the mouth which you have provided without the complete removal of all teeth. I do have my mouth examined on a regular basis and follow your staff’s suggestions. You truly offer a customized treatment plan that partners with the patient to provide a plan customized to their wants and needs.
I am proud to know you as a person, a professional and a friend. I look forward to the relationship being long term and count on you to continue as my dentist.

Dear Dr. Redd:
Thank you for my new smile! When I began exploring the possibility of having both my upper and lower teeth done, I wanted an experienced professional to do the job. I’m thankful I found the right guy.
The time you spent on getting a natural look and shape for the teeth was appreciated. Your ‘high-tech’ approach with the computer models . . . along with the physical models of my teeth, helped give me a ‘preview’ of what was to come. The process made me comfortable, and I’m very happy with the results.
Best of all, the entire experience was painless, I have always had problems getting my lower jaw numb - - that, along with being a shameless coward when it comes to dental work - - made me wary of dentists. Taking the time to make sure I was comfortable and not feeling anything made my trips to your office almost enjoyable (I’m still working on that fear of the dentist thing - - but its improving!).
Thanks again for your excellent care,

Todd Earnhart
Dr. Redd,
Thank you for taking the time to personally ensure that my dental health needs and concerns were addressed during our first meeting; and not delegate that responsibility to an assistant. I cannot tell you how refreshing it was to walk into an office where I immediately felt comfortable, and safe; and walked away from that experience confident in the staff of professionals who I have entrusted with my dental care. You and your staff obviously take great pride and passion in your work. Thank you for making my first visit such a pleasant one.

Warm, friendly smiles and a plate of chocolate chip cookies welcome you when you enter Dr. Redd’s office. You feel as if you are in someone’s home instead of a dental office.
Before I went to Dr. Redd, I went to another dentist, for one visit, and believe me, one visit was enough. He completely ignored me when he entered the office. Instead, he looked at my chart, and then remarked about the wonderful insurance I had. Dr. Redd’s manner was such a refreshing change from the previous dentist. He took the time to introduce himself, he talked to me about my interests, and we discussed my concerns regarding having healthy teeth.
Dr. Redd’s initial exam was the most comprehensive that I had ever had .If any of my previous dentists had ever looked for signs of cancer in my mouth, they never mentioned it. Dr. Redd, on the other hand, took the time to explain why such an exam was necessary.
During my first exam, he reached for a stethoscope, and I wondered what in the world he was doing. If I were a cartoon character, the balloon above my head would have read “Hey, Doc, my heart isn’t in my mouth”! Never before in all my years has a dentist listened for jaw sounds. Talk about a comprehensive exam that was it!
After every procedure, he has called me in the evening to ask if I had any problems. I was truly shocked the first time he called, until that time, I had never had a doctor or dentist call to check on me.
Once when I had a minor problem, I didn’t call him right away. When I went to his office, he verbally chastised me for not coming in or calling him immediately and he told me to always contact him if I had a problem. I was told that he would always be available, that he didn’t stop being a doctor when he walked out the door. He cares; he really and truly cares about his patients.
I feel truly blessed and fortunate to have found such a wonderful, competent, caring dentist and staff.

Hey Dr. Redd,
I have to tell you that the feelings are mutual. I've pretty much always enjoyed going to the dentist, but the experience at your office has been above and beyond what anyone else out there is doing. I like the technology that you have implemented and the great attitudes and personalities of your staff.
Without a doubt, Nancy is the best Hygienist that I have ever had clean my teeth. In fact, she is the only one that has cleaned my teeth from you office and I would like to keep things that way as long as I live in Tampa Bay. Some of the simple things that you have there, such as being able to view my x-rays immediately following my cleaning on the flat screen is simple, yet meaningful technology...and I appreciate that. I also like that you send out informational letters about new technology and procedures that you are offering, such as the Invisilight (not sure I spelled that correctly) risk assessment. Overall, there is a good reason why people like myself and Janel (your silent partner) refer people to your business....it's flat-out the best dental experience that one could ask for.
Thanks for sending me this opportunity to provide some feedback. Keep up the great work Dr. Redd, and team. And keep an eye on those Sooners this year....Stoops is going to be back on the map with his young team! Take care.
